While you were sleeping, House Republicans voted to:

❌Reduce or eliminate Pell Grants for 4 million students
❌Rip access to free school meals away from up to 18.3 million children
❌Kick at least 13.7 million people off their health insurance.

Oh...and it does not reduce the deficit.

If Republicans allow ACA tax credits to expire, it would be the largest single-year price hike in history.

In fact, there is no historical precedent for such a significant increase in out-of-pocket premiums for health insurance that covers tens of millions of Americans.

Historically Black Colleges and Universities are chronically underfunded and under-resourced.

While I appreciate any influx of funding to HBCUs, it should not come at the expense of funding Minority Serving Institutions, which also need this funding.
