Streets are still closed off in front of the Portland ICE facility at 8:30pm. Protesters have gathered on a side street. Dance party in progress.

Vets have gotten crazy expensive. It's nuts! I just dropped $850 on my 14-year-old dog.

It's not IF Mad King Cheeto invokes the Insurrection Act and puts us under martial law, it's WHEN. It's inevitable. He doesn't need a reason, although Portland Frog Guy sure has chilled the blood of MAGA, hasn't he?

I think Cheeto waits until the midterms are looming, and fucks up the election.
What Mad King Cheeto thinks is "violent insurrection." A guy in a frog outfit staring down a dozen heavily-armed jackboots.

A judge crossed the Tangerine Mussolini Junta last month. Her house was firebombed yesterday. Her grandkids were inside, but thankfully everyone got out.

Even more incredible, after they deliver their load at the steel mills, the freighters go in reverse up the Crooked River (which is what "Cuyahoga" means btw) and journey 5 miles BACKWARDS through those turns back to Lake Erie!

That, my friend, is what is called Collision Bend. The name speaks for itself. Somehow the freighters make the turns. It's incredible to watch. I assumed it was done by computer, but I've learned, no, the helmsman does it by eye and hand!

Those guys really know how to take those turns. It's amazing to watch them. Once in awhile they'll crunch a few pleasure boats docked further downstream in the club district>

There's a great outdoor music venue right on the banks. More than once an ore freighter goes gliding by. Quite a sight.

The river is still used for industry. The steel mills further upstream are going strong. A lot cleaner than the bad old days, but not something I want to live near. And giant ore freighters go up and down right past these condos!

Gotta have some balls to live in this spot.

Crazy new neighborhoods going up all over Cleveland. This one is down in the Flats, the former industrial hellscape on the shores of the Burning River. Ugly buildings-- I dislike these boxes-- but damn cool setting. Not for me though. Not enough greenery. And I don't trust it all isn't toxic.
New condos in the Flats. New condos in the Flats on the Scranton Peninsula. Cool bridge views. They light all these up at night.

It was a great comics paper in the 1990s. One of the first to pick up my strip and they ran my strip for probably 20 years. Then ownership changes, masthead turmoil, they stopped paying me, and I had to cut them off.

I greatly miss 1990s altweeklies. Aughts altweeklies? Not so much.

How else are we going to close the shaving cream trade gap that is crippling the economy?

(he is such an asshole).

How bad are tariffs going?

I paid for $32 of shaving cream from Canada. Unique stuff I’ve used for years, nothing like it in US. Small family business.

UPS guy came to my door today with box and said I have to pay additional $120 before he can hand it to me.

That makes it 5x more expensive!!! 🤯
