What's Next in the Fight? · Hands Off
On April 5, millions of Americans took to the streets—in big cities and small towns—to remind Donald Trump and Elon Musk that our democracy doesn’t belong to billionaires—it belongs to the people. Th...

It’s stunning to me that the New York Times did not put the story on the bloodbath at the NIH, CDC, and FDA on its front page this morning.

The long con of the left LIVES, Elon.
The last day on which a majority of the Supreme Court’s justices had been appointed by Democratic presidents was May 14, 1969.

One of the things we do in the legal academy is support our claims with facts.

But as long as Trump keeps Elon at his side, do you think Repubs will listen to this lesson?
April 2, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Don't take your eyes off the Repubs.
Republicans have signaled their intent to break all budget rules in the Senate by inventing their own cost estimates on the spot.

This would be many steps towards nuking the filibuster - and you may as well repeal the entire Congressional Budget Act at that point.

Thread explaining it would work

Wait — does Trump actually think we can put tariffs on fentanyl that’s being smuggled from Canada? Is he really that dumb, or just a pathological liar desperately trying to drum up support for his deeply unpopular trade wars?

This is what competitive authoritarianism looks like. "giving political appointees a direct line to tax investigations for the first time since Richard M. Nixon was president."

The House voted to censure Rep. Al Green—a man who has spent his career fighting for justice and the people he serves.

Why? Because he caused good trouble.

We will stand up to anyone—even the President of the United States.
Last night I stood up for those who need Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Democrats will never abandon the fight to make sure every American has a safe, healthy, and financially secure life. #ISaidWhatISaid

Just the medicine for what ails me!
Last night Trump made damaging admissions in our Appointments Clause case vs Musk & DOGE

He directly contradicted DOJ’s representations that Musk was not in charge of DOGE

We just filed with the court to take judicial notice— more proof that Musk’s appointment is violating the Constitution!

I mean, if he destroys both the IRS *and* the Treasury Department, I suppose you could argue that we’ll be “balanced” at $0 revenue & $0 spending…
Trump just said, “We’re going to balance the budget.” No, we’re not. Who wants to bet me?

Amazing! How easily Trump wiped his ass with Supreme Court Justice John Roberts. I thought Nixon was bottom of the ethical barrel, but Roberts just plumbed the depths to unfathomable new depths.
Chief Justice #JohnRoberts has declared #DonaldTrump above the law & the United States a #monarchy in which the president has absolute power unlimited even by the Constitution: kudos to the three liberals for dissenting from this destruction of #democracy...

Zelenskyy got flagellated for Putin's pleasure. TASS was supposed to prove it until it got found out and left. How much more proof do Republicans need to concede they voted the wrong guy in?

BTW, won't be long before TASS appears on the approved press corps list.
What really seemed to get under Trump’s skin were Zelensky’s harsh words about Putin. Trump, who had nothing but good things to say about Putin, seemed offended on his behalf and scolded Zelensky for hostility toward the man who had invaded his country. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/28/u...
In Showdown With Zelensky, Trump Takes Offense on Putin’s Behalf
Never in the past few decades at least has an American president engaged in such an angry, scathing attack on a visiting foreign leader in the Oval Office.

Funny how only the females are being tested. You know, because there could NEVER be any females that would want to become males.
