Spent part of the weekend binging this show from 1972.

There's just one season but it's one of the (if not the very) first live action "monster of the week" type shows. (Gotta give credit to Scooby-Doo!) It's influence is in everything from X-Files to Buffy The Vampire Slayer to The Dresden Files.

A thing I’ve noticed that is true of many fandoms but especially Star Trek and Star Wars:
The haters IME almost _never_ talk about it unless it’s to pop up and start shit talking it in response to other people or an announcement. Their social accounts are often empty. They don’t create fan works. They don’t post their collectibles. They don’t chat with others or ever post positive comments celebrating others peoples’ work or joy. They don’t share what they love. They contribute NOTHING.

"It's still an active, living land, if you will" he said. Will be interesting if they try to add more immersion back to the land. • And Galaxy's Edge forever lacked some of its teased and hyped elements - there were no smugglers, for instance, tapping you on the shoulder in the cantina. Apparently Han will be hanging out around Oga's. Wonder if they'll have any other "smugglers" around inside the cantina. • ...theme park visitors likely crave familiarity over ongoing narratives designed to play make-believe. Or at least that such a direction is easier to maintain. Sigh. • Galaxy's Edge came with its own vernacular, and an elaborate game in the Play Disney mobile app that was designed to track a guest's reputation and be used in the land. It was once said, for instance, that Disney's cast members - staff, in park parlance - would be able to recognize if someone's personality leaned resistance, First Order or rogue. Such aspirations never materialized. I find this interesting because though it didn't make it to the park, it is a part of the Galaxy's Edge Sims expansion pack!
