EVs still don't solve the issue of roads killing millions of animals every year and leaching micro plastics and pollution into our waterways, but reducing our reliance on gas fuels still matters and US companies are not innovating fast enough in this space

My honest not-sponsored opinion of EVs is that I would 100% buy a BYD vehicle if they were available in the States, and honestly the Chinese competition is welcome to upend the domestic market if it means we get fully modern electric cars that cost as little as $15k-$20k

I really wish we lived in the timeline where Musk became obsessed with something expensive but relatively harmless, like building his own theme park, rather than buying Twitter and then doing as much as he can to destroy the world
The world would still suck in a lot of ways, but maybe not as much

Might try to resume Mechtober original mech designs later this month, but I got slammed with a bunch of real-life stuff happening this month (nothing bad, just annoying)
Oh well, it was always just an exercise to do more OC mecha and I can continue that/do it in more depth without the daily aspect

when I was defending itch I heard from a lot of - frankly to my shock - other queers who were like "it's a platform, platforms are the enemy" and until we're able to distinguish _as users_ the ways in which worker owned services aren't your enemy and deserve grace, we won't be seeing very many
