ICE pepper-sprayed this 1-year-old girl.

Once at the hospital, the doctor had to call in a poison control specialist.

They had never seen anyone that young pepper sprayed.

Another horrific story.

More details below.

This is getting lost: For weeks Trump officials had the option to remove Abrego Garcia to Costa Rica, but refused to do so. Instead they kept trying to send him somewhere more dangerous. Costa Rica wasn't cruel and dehumanizing enough.

This is deeply sick conduct.

“Missouri’s referendum system exists to ensure lawmakers can’t insulate themselves from accountability. When 300,000 people sign their names to challenge a law, they aren’t offering a suggestion. They are exercising a constitutional veto belonging to the voters alone.”

Trump has as much power to pardon Tina Peters on state charges as I have the power to award the 2025 World Series trophy to the Chicago White Sox.
BREAKING: Donald Trump claims he has granted a “full pardon” to Tina Peters — the Colorado election denier serving a state sentence.

Presidents cannot pardon state crimes. His statement has no legal force.

Profiting Off the Presidency:
Why the Gold and Gifts Matter

The founders and framers had STRONG feelings about public officials not accepting foreign gifts.

Why?

Calibri is “woke” because it was selected in the Biden administration as easier for people with visual impairments to read.

OH NO
THAT MEANS ITS DEI

We live in the most stupid of times.
At least while we are screwing over our allies around the world we will be doing it in an anti-woke font.

Something @hcrichardson.bsky.social said the other day has really stuck with me. Abridged:

The U.S. is a fabulously wealthy country. But it's not just in bank accounts. Knowing you can get in your car and drive to the supermarket ... clean hot water ... electricity. That's wealth.

It’s important to remember there are two scandals here:

1. The Administration has likely committed war crimes.

2. But the entire operation - which now includes two dozen attacks - is illegal. In our democracy, the President CANNOT wage war without the consent of the people.
BERMAN: Did you see any evidence of them trying to use a radio in the video you saw?

TOM COTTON: Well I saw lots of evidence of them standing on the boat that had been capsized

BERMAN: That wasn't my question. Did you see any evidence?

COTTON: No, I didn't

1/ Interesting point.

If you’re a billionaire, people don’t push back against your bad (or corrupt or inhumane) ideas very often.

So when you DO get pushback, it’s the deadly and — at this point — meaningless “woke” at play.
Someone who once worked for this guy told me he was at a party where everyone was in one way or another, economically dependent upon him. Under those circumstances you don't get much pushback for dumb statements. When they do encounter that pushback, they think its wokeness that must be destroyed.
A Palantir billionaire just called for public hangings.

If the Sep. 2 boat really had "narco-terrorists" on board, questioning the survivors would have been a way to learn about how the organization worked, where more drugs were stashed, etc. But this isn't a counter-terrorism campaign. It's a shooting gallery with helpless targets.
