I tried a new idea for the Iron Lung soundtrack. I took a bunch of samples of pieces of old iron/metal ect. being bent/twisted/vibrated and pitched them around in @presonus Studio One and put them in a granular synthesizer. They became the "strings" section for the soundtrack :-)

Over 1,600 evictions have been filed throughout Minnesota from January 1 through January 23.

Filings for January rent have increased dramatically in the past week.

February rent is due soon.

It is still extremely dangerous for our neighbors to be out in public.
I’ve never been prouder to be a Minnesotan.

social compact suggestion: anytime anyone is laying out this kind of engagement bait in 2026, blocked. this is either engagement bait or someone whose kid stopped calling them anymore because they can't stop saying "bernie bro" at thanksgiving dinner. rehashing the past does not matter, it never did

Why are they sending witnesses to Whipple?

WHY ARE THEY SENDING WITNESSES TO WHIPPLE?
ICE attempted to order local police from the scene of the Minneapolis shooting, but the police chief refused and instructed his officers to preserve the crime scene.

The grimness of US history should encourage us. Yes, people used to send lynching postcards. And other people saw that, worked towards building a more just society anyway, and succeeded beyond anyone's wildest imagination. There's more work to be done. What's our excuse for choosing despair instead?
I understand and appreciate the fact that for some it is genuinely uncomfortable and distracting to think about how grim US history is. yes, that is strategically relevant, and no, I wouldn't put "did you know people used to send lynching photos to each other as postcards?" on a recruitment flyer

I broke down the ICE “reforms” being proposed by Dem leadership. tl;dr: They totally avoid touching ICE’s funding, in key ways actually increase ICE funding and instead focus on meaningless busywork like “body cams” and “more training”.

Welcome to North Minneapolis, Mr. Wedge
This walk from the bus to the park board HQ is nuts. After crossing a highway into an industrial area, I fell into a construction hole where a sidewalk should've been. Snow was hiding the missing panel. I lived, bitch.

@ward4.minneapolismn.gov Cybertruck Vetaw
CM Vetaw just called me to try to defend herself. She apparently still does not think it is her role to denounce ICE and demand they leave Minneapolis. She also cast some concerning (& thus far from my experience, baseless) suspicions about our neighborhood rapid response network.

Sounds like a bunch of rich people who can't enjoy their money are constantly looking over their shoulder.
