Gender criticals treated the Cass Review as the word of God, and cast anyone disagreeing with it as dangerous/unscientific/not fit for polite society. But now the entire GC movement is united in opposing a puberty blockers trial, despite it being something Cass called for. They are not honest people

I know this is hijacking a fun post with a serious point, but: the Feast of the Flight into Egypt is a commemoration of the fact that Jesus and his parents fled to Egypt as refugees, which should be more often remembered, particularly by those who say they want to defend the West’s Christian values.
So: happy... er, yes, well, happy this most holy of days to all who celebrate

Mind you: Fine Gael spent €632,422 on Heather Humphreys' campaign – meaning that, even after being reimbursed for €250,000 in costs, FG will shoulder a net loss of €382,422.

That's almost exactly the same financial hit FF will take - worth noting, given the general narrative of 'disaster for FF'.

Didn't see this reported last week: SIPO has confirmed that Fianna Fáil's bill for the abortive presidential campaign of Jim Gavin is the hefty sum of €392,962.42.

That's the equivalent of €3.79 for each vote won by Gavin in October's election.

I like how basically every poll, even on the most trivial of issues like 'who was the baddie in 90s CGI adventure ReBoot' is a repudiation of Labour's strategy of trying to win over Reform voters.
British public opposes the US action to capture Venezuela's President.

21% support (8% strongly)
51% oppose (34% strongly)

By party
Labour: 12-63 oppose
LibDem: 12-69 oppose
Green: 5-77 oppose
Conservative: 31-47 oppose
Reform (49-22 support) are different, with half supporting.

Actually heard a Labour peer on the radio deploy the words "the civil service tricked the government into cutting winter fuel payments". Excuse generation is reaching new and dizzy heights.
