Solar is quite a solution for Australia!
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

The fact that major media outlets keep platforming the “Loud, Overconfident, and Wrong” class while simultaneously saying we’re fresh out of ideas is just such an embarrassing self-own.
Rep. Casten is incredibly sharp on energy policy and has worked in the clean energy industry. The hippie punchers keep doing the same bit even as the renewables and efficiency revolutions transform the energy economy.
This Yglesias piece in the NYT is horrifically bad. Almost every "fact" it cites is provably false. At best it is cocktail party banter from a pundit who knows nothing of energy. At worst, it was cut/paste from oil industry talking points. So, a rebuttal: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/18/o...

This is an important moment, and we need to explain to the public why it's important.

An agency with the power to decide who gets to broadcast is supposed to be independent from the president so it won't abuse that power. If it's not, then we are letting the president seize the power to censor.

Cmon man maybe you should double check your posts before towing the company line.

If you genuinely believe the future is worth fighting for, then we need 1) visions of what a better future looks like and 2) a movement that facilitates climate action at all scales. Both of those require knowing what works (and talking about it!). This is not a bad thing in movement building!

Bovino, the man overseeing mass deportations, publicly declared that we must all have our papers on us, at all times, or we could be stopped, harassed, kidnapped, and detained, as they did with the man in this case, who is a US citizen.
