Remember that not all art advice is GOOD art advice and stressing yourself out because you think you shouldn't use reference only makes things worse.

Many extremely skilled artists use reference. Just use it.

I don't even understand how they define that. Like as a freelance artist + small business owner that we work really hard and while it isn't a 'steady' income it is still considered a job! The audacity for them to not call it a job when you are your own boss, right? 😂
