Mostly harmless, general smartass, doing my best to avoid failure mode of clever.
Bit of a hard sell to demand the reading of some Carlos Castaneda and some Terrance McKenna's amazing let's call it 'anthropology' (silly squares might just call it being 24/7 high in South America) but so much better when you have!

I am inordinately fond of this video of Soul Train dancing set to, uh, not Soul Train music.

My favorite MAN PRODUCT was first seeing Dial (or some such) bar soap For Men that was just bar soap, but with finger grooves on the side. Presumably so you could PUNCH YOURSELF CLEAN.

the vicious gleeful cruelty and bloodlust coming from people that you *absolutely* know would crumple into a weeping heap if someone punched them in the face is amazing

...worked differently online compared to in newspapers (yet more The Kids quizzical looks!) and long story already failed to be 1 skeet, my first DVD library was built for pennies on the disc on multiple online stores driven out of business by math not working for them.

I don't have a count of how many times I saw Army of Darkness on VHS but it was...a few. The DVD specific thing I'm fond of that The Kids don't quite get is how in the dotcom boom when everyone tried to be Amazon-but-DVDs (when Amazon was books) is stores really not understanding how coupons...

Twitching at flashbacks to all the times needing to call again with "So I'd called for one eighty minutes ago and you said on the way", all the times card readers mysteriously were broken, all the times I had to be the living GPS giving turn-by-turn guidance.

IIRC I learned that from the 'Behind the Bastards' podcast, listening to on a walk at the time, and random passersby on the trail probably heard me utter a laughing-denying "what the fuck?!" at myself.

Luckily I was at least partially vaccinated against the worst of learning this sort of thing from back when I learned Henry Kissinger was at one point treated as a sex symbol too.

Only partially, mind you. Still the chills and fever and nausea to really contemplate.

...the more 'usual' brain-melting sanity-blasting elder gods at center of all reality, but that it posits reality itself as inherently Weird. That simultaneously horrific and *absurd* things happen that people are simply never going to "understand" even when they "win" (or just survive).

You can tell your son about it.
When he's born.
Major Spielberg.

The line delivery is, as they say, pure cinema!

Periodically the "android running at superspeed" scenes from Godzilla vs King Ghidorah will resurface in my memory and I start giggling all over again.

It winds me up because, like so many tech trends of the last decade, in lieu of making something useful, companies are making labyrinths to exploit human weakness.

Point of order. I'm positive that people have made DNS changes with total confidence. It's just that anyone who does so you should never allow to do so again.

Muting words or tags might also be an option if spamforms are consistent and the rest of their posts don't annoy. Discovering that functionality was wonderful awhile back when it seemed like a bunch of folks were always on PLEASE VOTE FOR ME TO GET A WEBBY which, I respect the hustle buuuut

This has been out for awhile, similar(ish) form factor approach. I've been tempted before but then my executive function acts like a real buzzkill by pointing out "look sir, we fire up a civillian flight sim maybe for a few hours every few years if even that"
