One thing I low-key really appreciated about the sequel trilogy is that they more or less abandoned the "droid master" thing, which was always a slave/racism set-up ("We don't serve your kind here!") but was just sort of left to sit there and rot at the heart of STAR WARS.

This goes along with the alarms, but (if it makes sense with your job) consider blocking out shorter periods of time with alternating activities, including ones involving other people (for accoubtability) + breaks. Or look for days you can block out the whole day for times that need your full focus.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but all of Anderson's kids are mixed race. (He has 4 kids with long-time partner Maya Rudolph.)

I don't imagine that that magically makes the story work better, but might factor into some of the choices he made?
