They’re planning a heist in plain sight.
“This is an enormous heist. They’re just backing the truck up to the government in front of all of us. A massive bailout to the crypto world,” says @chrislhayes.bsky.social on the GOP crypto bill.

The USDA released its new milk testing strategy for H5N1 today. 1. Milk samples from all dairy-related companies must be produced upon demand. 2. Owners of infected herds must provide info for contact tracing. 3. Private labs and state veterinarians are required to report positive cases to the USDA.

I stopped believing in #LinkedIn quite a while back, unfortunately.
Before completing my doctoral program, we were told it would be great to network and search for opportunities.
I quickly learned that LinkedIn MAY work for you, but only IF you already have a network outside of LinkedIn. 👀 😩
A colleague suggested that I use LinkedIn to find some part time jobs, so I updated my info for the first time in years.

It recommended 3 “best fit” jobs for me.

One was a volunteer/unpaid position.

One was a senior faculty job not in my field.

One was a virtual/remote middle school tutor.

Wait until you see how the Trump administration will try and fill those jobs left vacant by the immigrants he deports

Prison slave labor seems like what we're going for. Or maybe the same immigrants who were working for $3/hr will be arrested and forced to work for free.
Maybe more than the presidential election, a bigger sign of How Things Are is famously liberal California having a proposition to ban slavery and it lost.
