"She deserved it." is the worst defense ever and also the motto of rapists everywhere.

So it's no surprise really that the party of pedophiles, rapists and murderers is victim-blaming.

Victim-blaming is the American way. Especially when it comes to women being the victims.

Fuck the patriarchy.

Victim-blaming by violent predators.

Same old script.

The reason I am so vicious against ANY slight victim blaming is precisely because of this dynamic
I think about how online audiences have been trained to look for reasons that victims are actually the villains, to recast them as the perpetrators, and how these are the same narratives the state uses to ensure the mechanism of patriarchy—violence, abuse, and murder—continue with impunity.

Since we’ve been fielding a lot of questions in our direct services about child-on-child sexual abuse (COCSA), @heathercorinna.bsky.social wrote this article to explain the nuanced details of this term and provide helpful information for youth. Full piece here: www.scarleteen.com/read/abuse...

cw: sexual assault

If you want to support SA survivors, you also need to support survivors of COCSA (child-on-child sexual assault).

"But they were so young--" Nope.

"But the assaulter was probably being assaulted t--" Nope.

We are survivors who always get gaslit and dismissed.

Acknowledge us.

Today’s concept of “forgiveness” is pushed on survivors of SA, DV, or other abuse as the only way to “move on” and heal from their trauma. This is nothing but patriarchal garbage. You can survive and thrive without “forgiving” those who have caused you trauma.

I'm only gonna say this once. Blanket bans on "inappropriate content" online lead to spaces and accounts run for and by SA survivors being shut down and the subsequent silencing of their voices because they're enforced by blind censorship. They're better at servicing abusers for this reason. #KOSA

Do you know how many little girls see their first penis because a man flashed them? And you'll dismiss them if they report it because there's no evidence but if they take a picture you'll want them prosecuted. Rape apologists always center & protect the predators.

I hate how I see people using “rape” to describe rough, agressive, or otherwise overly forceful but ultimately consensual sex. It’s just not.
Rape is a brutal and horrific. It shakes the victim to their core. I would hope you all understand that when you read any post about or containing rape.

as for 'I talked to two people who knew him and they say he's fine' this is, uh, not a standard we apply to #MeToo stuff for good reason.

I dunno, man. Kinda feels like when feminists were sounding the alarm on rape culture via #MeToo and we got written off as Woke Banshees*, people should have instead actually listened to us when we showed how rape is about power and social control.
