I do want to clarify that, while there is absolutely no question that this change is catastrophic, immunization requirements are set by states and AHIP has previously committed to covering vaccines recommended until the current ACIP recommendations through the end of 2026.
This is the worst case scenario that everybody was worried about
It is utterly catastrophic that RFK Jr. plans to end CDC recommendations for most childhood vaccines.

It’s a betrayal of science, ethics, compassion, and the people of the United States.

And it was also a specific goal of Project 2025 (page 254).

Tens of thousands of annual cases of chickenpox, rotavirus, and other vaccine preventable diseases a year - in a country of six million people.

Not only will Denmark’s vaccine schedule not work for the US, it already isn’t working for Denmark.

Switching to the Danish vaccine schedule in 🇺🇸 would be insanity. (1) The US, unlike Denmark, does not have universal healthcare, and (2) the Danish vaccine schedule is very poor (e.g., no chickenpox & rota vax. I vividly remember having those as a kid in 🇩🇰. Just 👎).

This is not the first time RFK Jr or his fellow anti-vax travelers conducted a study they knew would harm or kill children in low-income countries. It is a dehumanizing, colonialist model of manufacturing evidence: sacrificing foreign kids for political pseudoscience.

RFK Jr. and his anti-vax ACIP are responsible for doing harm to generations of Americans living in the shadow of his anti-science leadership, and Hep. B is just the tip of the iceberg

It's time for Congress to impeach and remove RFK Jr. No ifs, no buts. Enough is enough. #ImpeachtheQuack
ACIP votes to end universal HBV birth dose for newborns. The consequence? Prepare to see a reversal of our rates of chronic liver disease and liver cancer as more children are left unprotected.

The birth dose has an up to 90% efficacy rate of protecting newborns from Hep B, which is incurable.

About this Florida vaccine story:

When they were little - 1 yr and 3 1/2 - my two older boys, who’d had all their shots, got whooping cough.

We asked their pediatrician what would’ve happened if they hadn’t been vaccinated.

“Oh, they’d have died.”
