I'm a professor. I teach in a mask. I do math with researchers and students with hearing and auditory processing disabilities. This is a thread on my solution for lip reading and audio quality all in one.

Trazodone is very effective at improving sleep quality in #depression, concludes new review:

That’s something we can’t say for most antidepressants (serotonergics can make sleep worse), nor for most sleep meds (orexins are an exception).

I haven’t seen anyone talk about how Jane Doe - an Epstein survivor - just sued the Bank of New York Mellon for funding Epstein and failing to file a Suspicious Activity Report. A Mellon heir is the one who gave $130M to pay the troops. Seems bribey to me.

Yes. I have been practicing law for 40 years. I had the best Con Law teachers at UVA law school. But I can find no evidence of any unifying theory describing how this Court has ruled except to say that they have decided to discard the Constitution and anoint Trump dictator.

So we're not going to vaccinate kids this year. Ofc we're not going to mask or put HEPA filters in classrooms.

In a class of 33, every kid will get COViD at least once.

Every case results in cognitive impairment.

At least 3 kids will develop Long Covid. (1:11 is current thinking)

The teacher will have Covid at least once, with some degree of cognitive impairment and a higher risk of Long Covid and/or death.

COVID killed more than 47K Americans last year. Some 4 million of us have been disabled by Long Covid.

This is insanity. Madness.

#MedSky #Covid The neat split between “people with long COVID” and “everyone else” never did line up with clinical realities. Truly never-infected people are now rare. We’re walking around with more inflammation, and with immune systems that don’t work quite as well as they did in the beforetime
Why scientists are rethinking the immune effects of SARS-CoV-2
“Immunity debt,” a theory to explain the global surge in non-covid infections since pandemic restrictions were lifted, is increasingly being challenged by emerging evidence. Nick Tsergas reports Myco...

From CDC: How to get a 2025 Covid shot. "Physical inactivity" for the win! (Although I am plenty old enough to qualify, anyway.) Question for #medsky, including pharmacists: how long will my younger relatives have to sit quietly, to qualify for a shot?
Hang onto this image of CDC's full list of underlying conditions tied to severe risk of COVID.

If you're an adult aged 18-64, RFK Jr. is now making you show some proof of one of these underlying conditions in order to get a COVID vaccine.
