I wish. I take clothes from the dryer and throw on the couch to separate and fold. My buy Wynken immediately dives in and claims the pile for his own to nest in For a while. And then the whole gang help make the bed. A five minute thing turns into 15.

Took students to see the Tut exhibit in Ft. Lauderdale years ago. Walking them thru explaining the history, a few basic words in hieroglyphics, etc. started with my 10 and ended with about 30, including museum staff. Got offered a tip at the end.

I have you beat. Came home from class and put the bag away safely to prepare for Thanksgiving. Took days to figure out where the fairies had moved it and all my records for student presentations that needed to be graded and posted.

Need to get another copy. One borrowed by grad students and now installed in TA office for them to use in sections. Other migrated to England with family who hadn’t finished reading. Such a fun read.

There are times when some impatient driver is dogging me for my spot. I unload and they start tapping their horn to get me to move out. So, no matter how tired i am, I push the cart to the farthest pickup point, and walk so old and slow.

Walk in their shoes and understand their own issues. You may be the stronger person here. Build on that and leave the door open

And you don’t know what you might be triggering in them at the moment. They may need the distance to recalibrate and then return.

Our 8 month old poodle got her first “poodle cut” and spent three days hiding behind the curtains. Only a fluffy trim for the next 17 years.
