“It is unclear at this point whether or when we will be receiving funds for future research. There is a lot of uncertainty… The grant cancellation forced layoffs. It not only limits the research, but the pipeline — inspiring the next generation of physician scientists — that is going to take a hit.”

“Our early results showed that the first trimester of pregnancy is a time to be especially… One of my previously published studies found that for every additional 10 micrograms of particulates per cubic meter of air there was a corresponding 10 percent increase in infertility risk.”

I'm going to say something that is going to get me cancelled probably but IDC.

Neurodivergence exists on a continuum of human behaviors. If a neurodivergent person recognizes a characteristic in themselves that they see in another person that doesn't mean that person is neurodivergent.

Yes. The hardest part is that the school can do all they can, but if the caregivers don't reinforce/help, the behaviors can and will continue.

in the unlikely event i ever win a Nobel Prize, i hope that i found out in this way
nytimes.com
Fred Ramsdell was parked at a campground in Montana on Monday when his wife suddenly started shouting. He first thought that maybe she had seen a grizzly bear. Instead, she had regained cell service and had seen a flood of text messages with the same news. “You just won the Nobel Prize!” she yelled.
Winning a Nobel Prize Interrupted His Off-the-Grid Vacation
Fred Ramsdell found out about his Nobel Prize nearly 12 hours after it was announced because he was on vacation in the Rockies.

The following for #WheelOfTime is strong, can fans get #SaveWOT to the top of the trending hashtags? That will definitely bring more attention to the show.

Share widely. Contact your electeds. Get this legislation over the finish line.
It's time for the MA legislature to pass a Freedom to Read bill that protects librarians + educators from harassment; and protects authors, creators, booksellers, + publishers from economic harm due to censorship. I support An Act Regarding Free Expression (H.3594/S.2328).

unfortunately, these days if you're running a social media company that becomes at all successful, you are absolutely becoming a moving part in people's careers and how they pay their bills. I hate this reality but it is real, and tantrums like this can actually ruin people's lives.

Three bars are in 😎
sarahmackattack.bsky.social
Mission for this afternoon: Find Philly bars to host our next urban biodiversity education project. I just need to get some bars to agree to host pint glasses that have educational art on them. Seems like a pretty easy ask? We'll see who bites.

I'll be honest. I love my kids so much but there's a point in infancy where a combination of sleep deprivation, breastfeeding (if accessible to the parent), crying, and the need to be held get hard for a parent. You get touched out. But I hate calling it velcro baby. It's not the baby's fault.
