i've said it a hundred times for a dozen reasons but for once there's an expressly political one: the democratic party must push for the us to become a signatory to the rome statute. our justice system has failed, and it will take time to fix it that these people can't be given. give them to the icc

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.
This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.
It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

Every year that passes, I come to better appreciate just how traumatic members of the US elite find it to be yelled at by progressive young people. It is *vastly* more upsetting to them than being yelled at by reactionaries. They warp their entire identities & ideologies around it!
