I had a stereo pair of HomePod Mini in my bedroom to act as speakers for the AppleTV there. They were nice and all but the Apple Store had some refurb HomePods at a discount so I got two of those. These things are like floor shaking bass and pretty clear sound, even “surround” kinda works.

watched the new Star Trek Section 31 movie. It was an ok action movie albeit a bit cliche at times, and did not really feel like "Star Trek". Too unhinged, Star Trek is always more buttoned down even at its weirdest. Don't think it is a theater kinda movie but for home, not bad.

I ordered three different pies for Thanksgiving and my real estate agent just dropped off a giant apple pie. So now I will have four and a half pies for three people. Oops.

“just log off if you don’t want to be harassed,” if taken seriously, eventually translates into the internet being almost entirely dominated by white straight conservative men - which is exactly what a lot of harassers want
There are varying levels of online harassment and it’s often a goal of the harasser to not only make their target feel unsafe, but to also drive them into silence. In many cases, the whole “they should just log off” stance typically suggests the target should NEVER be online.

I need to find some of the folks I followed on the bird site but not all of them. After decades of online comma I am more interested in knowing fewer people better rather than more people overall.
