George should have owned Star Wars for a bit longer so he could put Nute Gunray's Force ghost at the end of Return of the Jedi

And you wouldn't be entirely wrong!

I've hated a lot of movies. Somehow I'm not going back to complain about Deadpool & Wolverine all the time and making video reviews where I nitpick every last scene the way people hold onto grudges for the Prequels, Snyder, Bayformers, etc.

It's funny how often people use RLM's "Get excited for new product" meme as if they're above nerds, when their bread and butter is gatekeeping and snark-ranting at length over Star Wars and Star Trek

The reviews can simultaneously be the definitive debunking of the Prequels AND a clever satire of how nerds taking this shit too seriously. If you respond to it earnestly then you just fell for the bit, nerd (It's not nerdy to make feature length reviews of movies you hated though)

People will look past* a lot of heinous shit to acquire confirmation bias for movies that they despise as a result of not paying attention

Oh yeah I watched it, was fucking awful. And you could make the argument that the way he mourned for Tony Stark in Far From Home made Stark his Uncle Ben, which is just asinine

“The internet was just like that back then” is not a valid excuse. Even James Gunn had to apologise for the “jokes” he made around this time before audiences forgave him enough to make movies again.

As far as I’m aware RLM have yet to apologise for anything they’ve said in any of the Plinkett vids

"What do you mean I have to read an actual comic book rather than coast off of the vibes of panels shared out of context on Twitter??"

Nerds would want Nolan's head on a pike if he made the Dark Knight trilogy now

It's people like this who are responsible for the MCU being pressured into completely omitting any mention of or gesture towards Uncle Ben from Peter Parker's life, which by extension obscures the very reason he chooses to be Spider-Man from the audience
