EPSA have announced that they will hold a conference in July 2026.

😵‍💫 We understand that there might be some confusion about EPSS and EPSA.

👉🏽 So we thought we would clarify some things.

Moscow is either preparing to attack Estonia - a NATO nation - or is making new attempts to intimidate NATO.

Russia is moving electronic warfare systems 20km from Estonia against the backdrop of Zapad-2025 military drills in Belarus.

It's too hot this evening to be outside 🥵 so I decided to sit indoors in the cool & sort through some old papers from uni papers I'd been meaning to clear out.

& I came across this clipping of an editorial from @newscientist.com from 2006!

It makes for some grim reading...

During the nationwide minute of silence in Ukraine, even as heavy rain fell, this man stopped alone in the street — motionless, soaked, and silent — to honor the memory of Ukraine’s fallen defenders.

No words. No gestures. Just pure respect.
Sometimes, the quietest moments speak the loudest.

Last night Russia bombarded Ukraine

741 areal targets including a RECORD 728❗️drones @ 13⚠️ missiles

Reports included a Kh-47M2 Kinzhal missile - which reaches its target in mere minutes.

A friend “it was loud but I tried to sleep” - she means in a basement on a cold floor

Others weren’t so lucky

Morning in Kyiv. No sleep. Air quality is extremely bad. City is covered in thick smoke.

This is Russian terror, aimed at people who chose to stay, resist and fight.

Our Element is out! 🎉

Why do authoritarian-leaning leaders target women’s and LGBTQ+ rights? Is there a systematic pattern that reaches beyond individual country cases, and how is this reflected in people’s attitudes and societal norms?

A lot of media are covering Europe’s heatwave 🔥 but few are connecting it to the climate crisis.

Tools like the Climate Shift Index show this heatwave is up to 5x 😱 more likely because of climate change. That context matters.

Map from the Climate Shift Index of Europe, showing that the current heat wave over much of Western Europe is 4-5 times more likely due to climate change.

Speaking in Uzbekistan Slovak PM Robert Fico calls for reform of Slovakia’s political system reducing numbers of parties. Says Europe needs to draw inspiration from more “economically more efficient” non-democratic systems like those of UZ, China, Vietnam.

DON’T SCROLL PAST TERROR. TALK ABOUT KHARKIV.
irynavoichuk.bsky.social
If I could, I would scream it into the world — but instead, I write it with shaking hands: RUSSIA STRUCK KHARKIV with 53 DRONES, 4 BOMBS & a MISSILE. It was the LARGEST & MOST RUTHLESS attack on the city since the war began. Three people were killed, 21 injured. THIS IS TERROR.
