@windycoys.bsky.social you were out on Ange pretty early this season and seem to have some inside info at the club. How much of the latter informed the former? I.e. were you getting inside info that Ange’s style wasn’t working at the club (maybe through issues with medical team or fitness data)?

This week we got to see it for Spurs within the context of the same game twice. It’s just an immediate massive difference with basically every other variable controlled for including the manager.

Manchester City last year 2.4 points per match, 1.2 xGD per 90. Lose their best player and barely replace him. This season 1.7 points per match and .4 xGD per 90. Bigger drops than spurs this year from last. The best players matter a lot as does the quality of their backups.
