Yeah, if we’re frank, what we’re seeing is people probing how much overt support they can show for pushing Black people out of public life and making any mention of racism beyond the pale of polite conversation.

Having the federal govt cancel your grants because you are Black, and the majority of your community is Black, is a dehumanizing feeling. Yes - we will continue the work as best we can, but federally sanctioned racism hits differently for me than it does for my White counterparts.
