This is why things like fuel duty freezes are just a tax break for the richest.
And national data also shows that car ownership goes up very consistently with household income.

2/3rds of cars are owned by above average income households. Richest 10% own about 5x as many as people with lowest incomes.

New Coppola Comment post. The government's Green Paper on benefit reforms aims to eliminate the divide between "deserving" and "undeserving" poor that has dominated policy for 600 years. But all it really does is change the definitions. coppolacomment.substack.com/p/the-deserv...
The "deserving poor" are the latest target of Government cuts
Sick and disabled people do not deserve the harsh treatment the Government has planned for them.

Mike spotted this before the rest of us. 🫡

Publications from 2025 are shared more on Bluesky than on X/Twitter.
About to talk to medical affairs colleagues, with the news that Bluesky is carrying more posts about new journal publications than X #bluesky #altmetrics #x #xparrot

Damning new DWP research shows it is failing disabled people - just as Labour wants to cut their benefits

When the DWP itself admits that 44% of claimants don't trust it to manage their claims - then why are Labour cutting £6bn from them?

Make sure your child’s measles vaccination is up to date.

1. Here are just a few of the ways in which Starmer’s Labour Party seems determined to alienate its voters and lose the next election. As they pile up, you have to keep pinching yourself and asking, “what the hell is it playing at?” 🧵
