My favorite was a place I think was called Coco’s. They had a breaded and fried halloumi (squeaky cheese we called it) that was incredible.

OK ... so now I'm living in a shed. That's the direct result of this government's policy of trying to pretend Covid doesn't exist in schools ... no masks ... no social distancing ... no nothing ... loads of cases.

I have to do this ... I'm self employed ... there's no safety net

If you know, you know. Updates as they happen.

Alt for explainer, if you aren't already involved in this trouser saga.

1. No one said this. Nice strawman, though.

2. We have a moral duty not to abandon our neighbors to state violence.

3. Choosing more policing & jail predicates your *sense* of safety on actual un-safety for all of us. It means less $ for drug treatment, low threshold housing, and community care.

Environmental advocates say that the US has reversed its position on "capping" plastic production in the forthcoming plastics treaty. The Council on Environmental Quality insists that it's a "clarification" of the original position. from @jbwinters.bsky.social

The US no longer supports capping plastic production in UN treaty
Environmental advocates understand the announcement as a reversal, calling it “absolutely devastating.”

Give me an interesting fact about your family that you have learned

My grandad, who died before I was born, is buried in the graveyard in the village I now live in

I moved here by chance after living in France and had no idea

I now put flowers on his grave stone (cremated) on the relevant dates

I may, or may not, have listened to this track a few times 🙃

Expensive headphones rock, cristal clear sound, and voices it would seem. Or maybe I'm just going more bonkers than usual 🤣

Still slightly obsessed with this track. Managed to get plays down to like maybe 20 or 30 times a day. Obsessing over a track so you play it repeatedly for weeks on end is totally normal right?

Is anyone else noticing that the campaign text bots (particularly from PACs) are increasingly unhinged this year? I’m getting tons that read like all caps panic texts from a sundowning elder. I got a text claiming to be from Buttigieg saying “I’m literally on my knees begging”.

Industrial warfare has pretty much obliterated the Second Amendment's intent, despite the persistent myth standing up to tyrants. Smalls arms are meaningless without access to resupply, nor can small arms stand against the Military Industrial Complex. A second Civil War in America is a fantasy.
