I loved this. And I want to note the whole “there were no autistic people before …” discourse has an answer here: just the people were sent away in the incarceration (yes “care homes” like this), and if they fled, they were just abandoned by society, usually to die.

It's funny how us parochial Americans generally seem to perceive that the EV revolution is stalling or reversing when in fact it's accelerating rapidly worldwide. 25% of cars sold globally in 2025 were EVs!

It's mostly just the US that's being left behind

If you’d like to know what it was really like inside CECOT for an innocent man who was wrongfully deported by this administration, we interviewed a pro soccer player and youth coach named Jerce Reyes two weeks ago: youtu.be/vlz3eGwHZBY?...

Bari Weiss spikes a much-anticipated segment on CECOT because she thinks Trump won't like it. That apparently is the ultimate test.

Having a cat is so cool. There is a little creature in my bed who loves me and vibrates like a tiny motorcycle and is so fuzzy and wants to snuggle. How could I want anything else

#Baltimore! An adorable mom/kitten duo is looking for a home for the holidays: Pinky (mom, 18 mos.) & Piglet (kitten, 7 mos.) were dumped in an alley in SW Baltimore, along with two other kittens (already adopted). They are super bonded & love to cuddle. Only thing better than 1 cat is 2 cats! 😍

Two babies were born in New York within a year of each other, soon after WWII.

One, Rob Reiner, lived a life of humanity and achievement. He brought us delight and joy. His memory will be a blessing.

The other, Donald Trump, will be remembered as an embarrassment to our nation.

Which is more likely, Eric? That Harvard suddenly became more moderate just when you arrived to teach a seminar, as you seem to claim, or that it was never the radical right-bashing bastion you believed it was because you were woefully misinformed?

In incident after incident, experts said, immigration and Border Patrol agents routinely took actions that not only infuriated civil libertarians and everyday residents but broke urban policing protocols meant to limit danger for suspects, protesters, passersby and even officers themselves.

some of the best early career scientists doing pandemic prevention work no one else is — defunded, just a couple years after tens of millions died from a pandemic.
I'm devastated by what the field has lost in terms of pandemic prevention research and infrastructure, but even more for the (to date, 60+) PhD students and postdocs on the project, many of whom face an immediate funding cliff at the end of the year. NSF had the funds for them and just didn't pay /3

I can’t promise that this is the first time a Canadian publisher of a beloved children’s book series has publicly condemned the bloodthirsty US secretary of defense’s use of its imagery to smirkingly defend heinous war crimes. I mean who can say.

A depraved and decadent Trump WH dinner for MBS was a stunning low for an American ruling class that's stopped pretending to carry a moral compass

It was really a celebration of death - of democracy, of an overheating planet, and ultimately themselves. My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/ceos...

I can’t quite put it into words, but Trump praising Mamdani on the same day that MTG resigns in opposition to “big Tech, big Pharma, the war complex and big donors” feels like a harbinger of realignment.

There is a political earthquake trembling beneath the surface waiting to break through.

Well, here’s how I spent my afternoon… scaling a fence to get in a vacant house’s jungle/dump of a yard to rescue this little guy, who’d yelling his head off for two days. His sibling is on the second floor of the house and mom gets in/out through a missing window. Think this guy fell out!
