Es geht längst nicht mehr darum, ob man 2% oder 3% oder 5% für die Vereidigung ausgibt. Es geht auch nicht mehr darum, dass man als Deutsche oder Europäer das „Richtige“ tun muss, um eine, freundlich gesagt, Entfremdung von den USA zu korrigieren. Sie sind längst weiter.
Vance sagt bei CPAC, dass die Allianzen mit Verbündeten daran geknüpft seien, dass man „gemeinsame Werte“ habe. Lautes Gelächter als er sagt, in Europa sei seine Rede auf der Münchner Sicherheitskonferenz nicht gut angekommen. Gejohle, längerer Applaus als für die Musk Ankündigung.
