We mourn our ancestors who died in the Indian Boarding Schools during the U.S. government's means to assimilate my people then.

It remains a difficult day for us especially given the historic traumas we still endure to this day.

I have an old "friend" from high school who is having a pity party over the fact that her son is autistic. I seriously have no idea how to talk to her about this, she's going on about how clearly something "gave her son autism" and she's getting very defensive and feeling "invalidated."

#Archaeology friends: question for my Lego League: have you worked at/know of a site where it was really difficult to remove dirt from the excavation area? Like, a deep cave or high cliff? Do you know of any innovative solutions that were used to do so? Pictures are a plus!

The FDA statement ends with a paragraph undermining its own warning.

They signal parents to avoid acetaminophen. Except sometimes. And then:

No “causal relationship… established” with ADHD or autism

AND

Alternatives to acetaminophen have “well-documented adverse impacts.”

Kennedy is a quack--full stop. This is fear mongering and quackery to the extreme. Autistic people don't need to be "cured" any more than extrovert people need to be cured. Neurodiversity is natural part of overall human diversity and to say it isn't is flat out ignorant and dangerous. 6/x
