An epidemiologist at Columbia said the research article RFK Jr. cited with her name is fake.

The paper itself does not exist.

Fake scientific papers used by the government to influence policy is fascism.

I swear I care, I'm just the group chat cryptid. I see it all, I just have nothing to contribute.

Like a thing that lives in your walls, but instead of trying to drain you of your sanity and will to live, I just leave emojis on things.

I really liked her, not just because she was the alternative to weaponized chaos. I hope to see a lot more of Harris. And I also really hope to not have to choose between her and Porter as leaders. We need them both.

On Feb 15, a critical line of defense was eliminated: the CDC's Laboratory Leadership Service (LLS). This program trained highly skilled scientists to be "disease detectives," deploying them to respond to public health threats & test for everything from viruses to toxins.

In the richest country in the history of the world, we cannot abandon our teachers and our public schools.

The distraction is by design. Focus denies the chaos fire oxygen.

These stories are not from Substackers, or newsletter writers, or pundits (as wonderful and valuable as they are.) They are from the NYTimes, the WaPo, NPR and Politico, major news institutions that have the resources to investigate this. Again, I urge you, support them however you can.

We can help feed each other and clothe each other. We can take each other in and provide shelter. We can raise money. We can know our rights when it comes to ICE, etc.

But I can’t fly a fucking plane.

“We’re all we have” has its limits. We need government regulations for a reason.

Donald Trump has orchestrated a show of force with a barrage of executive actions. Much of the media bought into this narrative of political strength, yet Trump's actions mask a politically weak lame duck with low approval ratings and an unpopular agenda. www.messageboxnews.com/p/what-every...

He did.

It’s starting to look like I’ll get the tragic opportunity to cover that as a journalist instead. The past week’s events and the doctrines we know to be supporting them are categorically the basis for that eventuality. We are not immune. (3/3)

Trump doesn't care if the economy crashes and communities suffer. His goal is to force you and your family to accept a lower standard of living while he and his friends get richer. Cutting support for law enforcement, schools, small businesses and firefighters is chaos by design.
President Trump’s order freezing trillions of dollars in federal grants and loans sent officials at schools, hospitals, nonprofit organizations and many others into a frantic scramble to understand the extent of the directive. Here's what to know.
Order to pause federal spending creates deep uncertainty for schools, nonprofits and companies.

The president can veto or support legislation. He can make recommendations to Congress. But he doesn't have the unilateral right to change laws.

Trump has very little respect for the rule of law & our Constitution. He is moving us toward authoritarianism.

We must stop him.
