Aside from being incredibly offensive it's also very simplistic, following the Conservative playbook of "things were better in the old days", when people were more Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean and Reverent.
In the things-were-better-in-my-day department: I just went for a walk on a snowy Michigan day. When I was a kid, people shoveled their sidewalks -- not anymore! We can blame Democrats and the activist Supreme Court for that.
