If anyone in Bloomington wonders what position Whitten or Shrivastav have on this destruction of tenure or shredding of faculty governance, look to how quiet they’ve been in the last six months.
Good lord, the IN legislature really outdid themselves with the new budget bill. Slipped in a ton of unrelated language at the last second during conference process, including effectively killing tenure across the state with new "productivity" reviews.

We hear a lot of this same language in academia, along the lines of “students are so lazy these days” and “students are spoiled” and such.
