Keeping children out of public spaces means that mostly women are also kept out of public spaces. It makes parenting lonelier and isolating parents is a great way to make them susceptible to all sorts of fucked up social conditioning. Also children are people and should be seen and heard.

One of my favorite stories out of Finland recently. A retired spy won over 60 million Euros in a lottery and used the money to fund illegal counter-intelligence operations for the Finnish intelligence service, because everyone needs a hobby. Many spies have been charged with crimes because of this.
