I am devastated by today’s shooting at Evergreen High in Colorado. I am sending my love to the community as they seek to heal from this tragedy.

But healing requires action. We need action now.

Things I recommend instead of doomscrolling:
-reaching out to a trusted group chat
-cleaning your home
-eating ice cream
-playing with a pet
-reading a book
-donating to charity
-writing in a journal
-taking a hot shower
-watching a standup comedy special
-going to bed early

I just visited Naval Station Great Lakes that Trump is letting DHS use as they prepare to invade Chicago.

The Navy cooperated and took the time to answer our questions.

Trump’s DHS locked the doors and fled.

That’s not how you act when you’re doing something legal.

Tedious to point this out, but:

- When a tongue-tied Biden said "President of Mexico" instead of "Prez of Egypt," it was a several day story.

-Hours after Trump says whoever appointed J Powell made a big mistake (it was him), the episode appears not to merit a story on any national-media sites.

Once again, again, again:

The true driver of antisemitism is white supremacy.

The true driver of antisemitism is power.

“Blame the Jews, not me!”

Who is trying to elide blame?

Who are the people being asked to do the blaming?

Always use your power analysis.

Google choice for login on another device: "Yes, it's me"

Norman: (Not going to choose no because I'm an annoying pendant and even though I claim I strive to be a descriptivist, I still get my blood pressure up when the predicate nominative isn't used correctly) <sigh> Fine. <click>

Republicans are OBSESSED with taking healthcare away from millions! In Congress, I will always work to expand, not take away, healthcare!

The nation's fifth most populous county, San Diego, just chose its political future today—and appears to have chosen to have a Democratic local government—and it's crickets everywhere. Quite the eye-popping example of the NY/East-Coast-bias of how elections get covered.

The Trump administration is currently holding hostage nearly $7B in federal funding for K-12 schools--funding that was supposed to be distributed yesterday.

They've stolen $80M from Wisconsin students and teachers alone. How much have they stolen from your state?

Rep. Raskin is 100% on target. The administration is setting Jews up as scapegoats for its destruction of higher education & research infrastructure. These policies don’t protect Jews bc they aren’t intended to protect us. I’m begging non-Jews not to buy into the lie that Jews are to blame for this.

Thanks @raskin.house.gov for seeing through the right’s smokescreen antisemitism and saying what we know:

We will never dismantle antisemitism with authoritarian measures that make Jews — and all of us — less safe.

Especially when doing so in the name of Jewish safety paints Jews as scapegoats.

Donald Trump is forcing the American military to intimidate our citizens in their own communities.

If a U.S. Senator can't question the Trump Administration about that, who can?

This is pure un-American authoritarianism, and it should scare us all. www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcn...
