The ICE agent who murdered Renee Good must be prosecuted for murder. He enjoys no immunity from state murder charges.
Then, Blue state governors must call up their National Guard to protect us from the armed ICE terrorists.

I really feel this point has been lost and it should not be.

Am I intensely upset at the toothless response(s) from most dems at the demolition of our norms and democracy itself? Absolutely.

Are they equally to blame? Absolutely not.
When someone does something bad, and someone else fails to prevent it, the balance of blame is not equal.

It's 2025, and we're sharing bootleg 60 Minutes segments broadcast in other countries because our own country is being run by fascists and their billionaire-owned state media helpers, just as the Founding Fathers intended, of course.

And is it really "profit" if their workers can't afford basic necessities?
SNAP is a lifeline for workers in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

As we come to the end of a very difficult year I wanted to say a few words about *some* of the issues that, with your help, I will focus on next year.

At the top of my list:

- Campaign finance reform
- Income & wealth inequality
- The rapid deployment of AI
- Medicare for All

MEDIA’s dysfunctional pattern of behavior is not limited to trump, but instead extends throughout public life, with the largest volume of unchallenged LIES coming from the GOP!

Challenging LIES regardless of source is BASIC for a functional free press! Without this, MEDIA is USELESS!
#usdemocracy
Some things are too simple to recognize?

When MEDIA repeats trump’s STUPID LIE in public but fails to clearly state it is a LIE, MEDIA is supporting the LIE!

Plus, if YOU are unable/unwilling to recognize there is intent in spewing BS, YOU damage YOUR credibility.
#usdemocracy
Wolfers asks the relevant question up front: Why do we repeat trump’s nonsensical LIES?

If the affordability crisis exists it's not our fault, if it doesn't exist it can’t be our fault.

Kustoff, hoping for scraps from the bottom of trump's shoe.
NEWSMAX: Is it accurate when President Trump calls the affordability crisis "a hoax"?

REP. DAVID KUSTOFF: This is a crisis President Trump inherited. He has worked on addressing the affordability issue, if it fact it exists

Profitability should not be the only 'allowed' measure of success, especially in government.
The old catchphrase "run the government like a business" has never made sense, definitionally. Most government services are things no business would ever do, because not all human needs can be contorted into a profit-generating activity.

Elon Musk is about to become the first trillionaire.

The reason poverty exists in the wealthiest country on earth isn't because we can't feed the poor — it's because we can't satisfy the rich.

We should tax trillionaires out of existence.

The highest calling of journalism isn’t to tell two sides of a story.

The highest calling of journalism is to tell the truth.

And acting like a stenographer is a betrayal of your audience.
Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

Pretty remarkable that Trump has installed someone on the Saudi dole — Jared Kushner collects millions in fees from the Saudis every year — in a key role for America's most sensitive and consequential foreign policy negotiations (Gaza, Ukraine), and it is largely TREATED AS A NON-STORY

There are going to be prominent Democrats and mainstream media voices who insist that we have to "turn the page" and "forgive and forget" and they should all be roundly ignored, if not mercilessly mocked.
It’s crazy to think about the crimes we’re going to learn about after this regime ends.

We’re already hearing about Watergate level crimes every week. Imagine what will come out after it’s over.

We’re going to need a full accounting of all that’s been done in violation of the constitution.

I just spent three hours debugging an issue using ChatGPT. I figured it out, it did not (though it did help narrow it down).

I don't worry about being replaced by AI just yet but I do worry that the people who hire people like me already think people like me can be replaced by AI.
