What's happening in Minnesota and across the us is not a fluke, a surprise, or new. The government has always been building to this. The gutting of privacy rights, the increasing of police powers, the normalizing of "kids in cages" under obama, and so much more. This is what "normal" gets you.

You should read this. It is the type of detail that experts in authoritarian regimes see as telling.
In this case, state agents are offered impunity from higher ups, and the legal system is rendered inoperative as a mode of accountability.

trump calling the obamas monkeys is no different than him claiming obama wasn't born in the US because he's not white. this is not new information. it also doesn't mean obama was good. he participated in the steady increase of ice and the prison system and enabled plenty of war crimes.

Fondly remembering the months of weirdness/unhinged comments we got from Pritzker fiends on this app and others for simply (and accurately!) covering state police attacks on protesters outside Broadview. Godspeed to everyone in Minnesota facing the same from the Walz fan club

So this is a headline on Huffpost:
"Republicans Condemn 'Incredibly Offensive' Trump Post About The Obamas"

Are you fucking kidding me? 3 fucking Republicans said something. 3.
Stop giving them credit for not even doing the absolute minimum. This is ludicrous.

Why are so many undocumented immigrants being held in detention for so long instead of being deported?
Simple. The billionaires who own the detention centers get paid for keeping people here. They don't get paid for people who get deported.
It's not about the law, it's about taking your money.

I need people to stop equating having a small dick to being an insecure jackass and a n^z*. Plenty of folks (including most trans masculine people) have small dicks and testosterone, and maybe even feel insecure at times, and still don't feel the need to make it a problem for everyone else.

ICE told nurses this Minneapolis man “purposefully ran headfirst into a brick wall.”

What actually happened is that they pulled him from a car, beat him so viciously with a steel baton that he had 8 skull fractures, 5 life-threatening brain hemorrhages, and couldn’t remember he had a daughter.

A masked federal agent in a convenience store parking lot in the northern Twin Cities suburb of Coon Rapids told legal observers that Minnesota’s status as a blue state is linked with the removal of residents, on a video provided to Unicorn Riot.

Because it’s actually a front for AIPAC dark money. And they’re doing everything they can to buy my race:

A senseless tragedy, wholly preventable. This woman's life was less important to ghouls in the NC Gen Assembly than grandstanding on #abortion to earn brownie points with the base. They restricted access, tighter and tighter.

She died in Greensboro, NC. Shocking.
