Sainsbury's wrapped is out. They stopped selling the juice I'm normally top buyer of (probably only buyer given that they stopped it) so was worried I wouldn't chart. But no, we have very specific fruit and made #14 in England.

A Cowbot - a large, spherical robot with piebald patches, like the classic Holstein Friesian breed, with little horns, a golden bell hanging from where its neck would be if it wasn't just a big sphere, a pink snout, and a giant spring on a single foot instead of legs - with a tap on its side dispensing milk. Eight Maidbots - ovoid robots with banded arms and legs and blonde hair in braided pigtails - are lined up beside it with Pailbots - little metal buckets with legs and eyes, basically. The first Maidbot is walking away, smiling contentedly with a filled Pailbot (also looking content) in one arm. The second is leaning against the Cowbot, whistling with one hand in its pocket as its Pailbot on the ground is filled by a stream of milk from the tap. The Maidbot behind it looks annoyed, and its Pailbot is asleep. The next Maidbot is smiling with an indifferent Pailbot. Then the next Pailbot looks angry and is on the ground, kicking its feet, while the Maidbot seems annoyed and trying to control it. Then the next Maidbot is asleep (Pailbot not visible), the next is smiling with its Pailbot facing away from the frame, and the last one in the queue is angrily waving its arms around, while its Pailbot peeks out from behind its legs, staring daggers at the Maidbot at the front. Text in the top right reads, "12 'BOTS OF CHRISTMAS REMASTERED" in alternating red and green letters.

🏺 This thread is cute but also so useful to remember what Ötzi teaches us about dynamic temporal lives of prehistoric people: he died on an epic journey, carrying a huge range of kit with tools part-way through being made, and with embers and medicine in anticipation of his next fire, & his future.

#OTD 19 September 1991, walkers in the high Ötztal alps on the Italian border, found a body melting out of the ice. It turned out to be the remains of a c.5200 year old man preserved with all his kit.
Of course, it was essential to replicate him in Playmobil.

An enormous robot that looks like a cartoon whale, surfacing above the water next to a sailboat and spraying from its blowhole. It has tiny little fins (relatively speaking), a banded tail leading to its wide fluke, and a ridged underbelly. The whale is mostly dark, with a lighter underside, and the view is a cross-section of the underwater environment with most of its body below the rippling waterline, partially obscured by water fading in a gradient from light near the surface to dark down below. There is a person in the sailbot, pointing at the smiling whale, and a giant speech bubble with a heart in it coming from the whale's mouth (which is, anatomically incorrectly, not in line with the top of the ridged belly section on account of that would prevent it from having a little smile). Not saying it's hot out but I've just seen an abandoned, saturated bra on the pavement near my house. Not sure if the owner discarded it in a fit of heat-induced frustration or literally melted and it's all that's left of her. Either way, it's not great
