We had a consultation recently on a large new 20mph zone. Having learned from experience, a survey of households within the area, and random face to face surveys, we're done along the usual open online survey. Outcome? Far more favourable than would have been the case with online survey.

Although I do feel a little bit bad that it's my A-level text that I was supposed to return to my school but evidently didn't... I don't suppose they'll need it back 25 years later (now I feel old)!

This new route in Poole is not yet complete but teasingly some sections of it are now open. If you look closely at the old road markings you can see how much carriageway width is being reallocated. It's going to be so good when it's finished - I can't wait! 😁

It felt very strange seeing the Christmas lights being put up in Bournemouth today whilst the sun was blazing down and it was 16+ degrees out! 😕

The reason for this, and the one further down the road, is to protect this presumably rather ancient stone bridge from idiots trying to force their too-wide vehicle across and damaging it.

I'm currently staying on a farm in the middle of nowhere, where the roads have grass growing down the middle of them and everything is hilly and muddy. This is the farmer's car. For anyone who claims that a Range Rover is essential if you live anywhere slightly sub-urban... 😉
