In 2022, Biden earmarked billions of dollars to help former coal communities. It was the largest investment in Appalachia since LBJ's 1960s’ war on poverty.

But Trump won West Virginia 70% to 28% in 2024. And now he's taking away the funding Biden gave them.

When are they going to learn?

$200 billion worth of data center projects are being built in the South, according to a new report from @mediajustice.bsky.social.

To keep up with the massive amounts of energy these centers consume, projects like gas pipelines and coal plants are also growing.

Today's final approval of the North West Shelf is a climate, economic, and energy security disaster.

Australia Institute analysis shows the 45-year expansion is equivalent to building 12 new coal power stations.

The electric utilities’ proposal would spend billions of dollars on new power plants to supply future data centers, but is now amended to extend the life of another coal plant.

LNG is worse than coal when it comes to warming impacts due to high methane emissions.

If Japan isn't starting to realize the error of their ways, they will.

However, the powers that be in Japan are working to mislead the world about this basic science so they can make a few more $$$.
