@mrjamesob.bsky.social Just listening on catch up- possibly the racial slurs story isn’t getting so much traction amongst his supporters is that a lot of them concur. They’d prob be more influenced by the question of the Russian interference as that would seem to them more overtly anti -patriotic.

This reminds me of my favourite little factoid about hedgehogs. They used to be called 'urchins' in English, so a sea urchin was a sea hedgehog. In Welsh, a hedgehog is a draenog, and a sea urchin is draenog môr... a sea hedgehog.

It’s obviously pissing in the wind to point it out, but I’m not sure how this gets fixed unless people stop using TikTok, which is the same as saying there’s no way of fixing it.
The minute we gave up control of who we see on our feeds to big, amoral companies, this was inevitable.

This person is one hundred percent correct and it’s scary af. We will never “media literacy” our way out of this as a society. We are about to reap the whirlwind when it comes to misinformation, disinformation, and informational warfare.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social re dogs- I see no problem with people loving their dogs as much as children esp silly if ‘childfree’. SO LONG AS they love them as dogs- we are primates. Dogs aren’t. Primates like to hug and carry young. Dogs don’t. Know dog body language and what they need as dogs not humans
