Ilhan Omar won her district in 2024 with 75% of the vote. She is widely popular because we know she works hard for the people she reps. I live in Mpls and work in St. Paul with Somalians who make up a large part of the healthcare workforce. They are loved and respected here.

I hope it's clear to everyone now that Trump really is going for it - he's trying to become a dictator. I don't know if he'll succeed, but he's working to install himself as an autocrat unaccountable to voters. And he's weaponizing the military against Americans who oppose him as part of that effort

This is exactly what will happen. His base has already been negatively polarized against the basic concept of healthcare. This bill is a gigantic boon to the coffee enema and "alternative" cancer treatment scam industry.
It just occurred to me that Trump's denial of Medicaid for many of his cult followers will leave them without legitimate medical coverage & they will resort to "wellness" scammers- those who wouldn't qualify for Medicaid payments. The snake oil salesmen figure to benefit more than anyone here.
