She is one of our true elders and there are so few left. She deserves the best healthcare available, but this is America.

If you're an lgbtq news outlet, your job is not, contrary to what you might think, giving every queer person alive a heart attack every morning

If people in Sinkhill don’t follow the etiquette of Halloween decoration, the Tattie-Bogle might just turn them into a Halloween decoration. And you know how you turn a pumpkin into a Jack-o-Lantern…

SINK: Halloween Special coming soon to Kickstarter. Sign up at comixtribe.com/sink!
Black and white art from Alex Cormack, showing a man tied to a chair, his head hollowed out like a pumpkin, but circular holes carved out of his face where his eyes and mouth used to be, a glowing light coming from inside. His brains and an eyeball lie in a heap on the floor in front of him.

Stubbed my toe on my way to the kitchen this morning then Tony Blair slithered up through the floorboards to tell me it wouldn't have happened if we had ID cards. Weird.

It's overwhelming from a distance, and delightful up close. My scripts are sparse as fuck in comparison. So many panel descriptions just say "close on character A" and if it's conversation "back to character B" 😅

(It's fine cuz I'm almost always just writing for myself to draw)

Looked at an Alan Moore script for the first time.

I will never complain about working with anyone else’s script ever again.

Mm I write very sparsely when I’m drawing it. I think writing for another artist is a whole different skill set and I honestly really fuck with how Moore does it, he gives them everything they’d possibly need and more and trusts them to take what’s useful from it

based on when banksy first appeared on the scene you kind of have to label him hirst's wario, but i would say that there have been persistent questions about which one is the actual wario ever since.

Getting past people's reflexive state brain is so difficult in this. As soon as you say something might be harmful it has to be criminalised, banned, crushed by some greater power. And that greater power is of course not neutral. It is the power of and in defence of abusers.

Main argument against censorship should be always that we can trust ourselves as a community to negotiate moral and subjective value to art, we don't need any unaccountable institutions with broad and arbitrary censorship powers to "protect" us. Not using CSA and rape survivors as a moral shield.

hey. call your bank ASAP and turn off overdraft protection. the thing it protects you from is a declined transaction. This "protection" takes the form of allowing your account to go into negatives.

If you already know this, tell someone who doesn't.

Bluesky is a wonderful place that has flourished in large part because of its artists and intolerance towards facists/Nazis. The Updated policy currently going into effect Oct 15 could fuck that up and we should be very vocal about it. Here are some specific things to mention in feedback (THREAD)

This year’s debut Sequential Scotland was an absolute joy, one of the highlights of the comics year thus far. This deserves to become a Scottish comics release institution, so I’m glad plans are in place to bring it back for 2026.
