It is unfortunate that most Americans will not know or care about this issue until Trump persuades the Supreme Court to abolish agency independence, gains absolute power over the Federal Reserve, and crashes the economy. But that’s the direction in which we are ineluctably heading.
NEW: A split appeals court just cleared the way for Trump to fire members of boards once designed to be independent presidential control. It's a win for Trump's bid to consolidate authority over all facets of the executive branch.
