This is an interesting article. The new mine is being built near the farm where I grew up. It’s certainly changed the landscape out there

Today, we remember the fourteen young women whose lives were stolen at Polytechnique Montréal 36 years ago.

Today is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women. On this day, we honour those killed and injured during the École Polytechnique tragedy, and all women who experience violence. It is also a day to commit to ending gender-based violence.

Halifax Harbour was crowded with wartime ships on December 6, 1917. The CSS Acadia received minor damage in the 1917 Halifax Harbour Explosion while acting as a guard ship in Bedford Basin, making her the only vessel still afloat today to have survived.

I think I’ll listen to Last Christmas every day (original version obviously). Not just because I think Whamageddon is stupid, no offence if you love it, but because I enjoy it. There are other Christmas songs I’d rather avoid

When the two-part miniseries Anne of Green Gables debuted on CBC on Dec. 1, 1985, nearly six million Canadians tuned in. It went on to win 10 Geminis, an Emmy and a Peabody.
To this day, the miniseries is studied in film schools.
This is the story of that miniseries.

Colleen Jones asked me to interview her a couple of months ago during a chemotherapy appointment.

She told me to write one heck of a story. I hope I did her proud.

About always believing something wonderful is about to happen.
