Today (Nov. 29, 2024) marks the 5th anniversary of #BCs #DeclarationAct coming into force. On that day, the province became the first in Canada to uphold Indigenous human rights in law – to adopt the internationally recognized standards of #UNDRIP. @UN Declaration.gov.bc.ca 1/5
It’s about a better future for everyone.
Together, in consultation and co-operation with Indigenous Peoples, we will advance reconciliation in tangible and measurable ways in B.C. – today and into the future.

The opioid crisis has taken thousands of lives and devastated families across BC and Canada.

Today’s Supreme Court ruling allows us to hold opioid manufacturers accountable on behalf of all Canadians, for perpetuating this crisis.

We will continue this fight.

We need a strong team to stand up against the threat of Trump’s tariffs. While we have different political views, Premiers are united in standing up for Canadians. Our diverse perspectives will be an asset in these negotiations and help us push back against these dangerous tariffs.

Trump’s tariffs would hurt Canadians and Americans alike.

Canadians must stand united. Ottawa must respond with strength.

We’ll never stop fighting for British Columbian families.
