thinking once again about the time a kid half my age—so like 5 to my 10—sang the entirety of "Jesus Loves Me" to me while making intense eye contact the whole time. little bowlcut boy, high tiny child voice, TOTAL STRANGER btw!!, staring me down like a bird of prey. at king soopers

Got yelled at for how much I lean forward particularly when sitting and/or standing at the computer. This is why my legmeat is still kinda in ribbons, I'm told: because leaning Engages them and when they're Engaged they do not Recover. Anyone got some sort of victorian posture machine lying around?

This is why they can't touch me. AI people get their dopamine(??) from being perceived as someone that has done something creative, and mine comes from the process of doing it. I saw someone frame creative output as a "waste product" once, and it stuck w/me as the exact truth of how I feel about it.
the faux-AI evangelists see the artistic process as a race to get to a finished product, instead of something valuable in itself. the process is where you develop those skills you don't have yet, it cannot be skipped, it is where the art happens
I have grown to believe that excessive wealth does something to your brain that is analogous to a serious head injury

3 introductions to introductions to handbuilding clay—copyright 1979, 1999, 2022. Each iteration babbling more, informing less. Much to decode here. Ask me for my halfbaked thoughts re: 1979 as a high point of western civilization sometime, at least by a "we're all adults here" sort of metric

I love to sit in bed for hours (b/c I stood up too much this weekend) filling out my planner, etc, and nodding thoughtfully as I watch weird videos with infographics like this.

The $5 fill-a-bag sale at the library primarily functions as a way to get books 3, 4, and 5 in the Clan of the Cave Bear series. You pick the cleanest-looking of the 7 or 8 copies they have, you reread them you're like haha this suuuucks :) and you give them away again in three months.

if you people had ANY idea how often my answer to "what are you thinking about" is, like: Oh, wow! Look at him now! Zuckerman's famous pig! Golly, whaddya see etc. (you can swap in any other lyric from any other song if you want—they're all always with me—but tbh, it's that one more than any other.)

LRT, or constantly, or for any other reason!! I think I may have had a "never delete" rule at some point, like, when I was a teen. Imagine taking orders from a teen! A teen is a child.

I've had 20 years to consider the matter and I think I shall never get on board with ur for your. u for you is fine, sometimes, to achieve a certain effect, but something about ur is distasteful to me. I could never abide gurl for girl, either. I get secondhand-embarrassed and then I get the vapours
