My cats have acclimated to post-season baseball. Even my jumpy kitty is now inured to my shouting obscenities at the television.

This is the President not only purporting to arrogate unto himself the ability to “take away free speech rights,” but also to do so for speech because it “aggravates and irritates.”

The bottom line is these people running our country are literally foreigners to the concept of democracy.

Scheduled vaccines at the pharmacy and it asked me if I wanted to add Shingles.

I’m under 50 so I didn’t think I qualified. Turns out: 19-49 can get it with a Rx and a qualifying condition (🫡, diabetes!).

Even my doctor didn’t know, and was thrilled to learn she could get me covered.

New Tactic: charge ICE with assault on police officers.

After all, if civilians pepper sprayed cops, we’d be charged (let’s be honest: we’d be shot with live ammo).

NEW—US Department of Education sent out standard Out of Office language to employees on Wednesday in light of shutdown. Later yesterday, workers tell me they found someone had updated their auto-responses without consent to a new one blaming Democrats.

This is the key thing to notice about whataboutism: it is not actually a moral argument at all. It's not saying, "the thing you accuse us of is actually good," or "we didn't do it."

It just says, "everyone does this bad thing, so you're not allowed to hold us responsible." It's permission.
