The AI bubble* and the fascist Trump regime are deeply intertwined, fueling each other.

If the bubble pops, it'll make the regime easier to deal with.
If the regime falls, the bubble likely goes with it.

*Bubble doesn't mean nothing of value. It means severely overinflated value and exuberance.

it’s cute that they think it requires an act of canadian mustache-twirling to make americans and our media look silly
The Atlantic suggesting, without evidence, that Canada's Global TV broadcasting the '60 Minutes' segment on CECOT that CBS distributed to it may have been an act of "treachery."

DOJ: Nothing suggests Donald Trump is a sexual predator.

ME (thinking): How could an adjudicated rapist, accused of sexual assault by dozens of women, who paid hush money to a porn star, who cheated on all his wives, and comes up 100s of times in The Epstein Files, possibly be a sexual predator?

America needs an Attorney General who:
1) will read a law,
2) understand what she is reading, and
3) comply with it.

That doesn't seem like too much to ask, does it?

Remember when Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump’s lawyer, Alan Dershowitz, wrote an op-ed trying to justify having sex with kids?

Seems relevant now.

What is even crazier, are the millions of people who knew what was coming, had the chance to stop it, and decided : Nah! Whatever! It's cold out.

Donald Trump is a whole lot of things, but you can't say of him : he's like all the others, so why bother voting?

I’ve heard most journalists and politicians say that Trump hasn’t been directly accused of wrongdoing or implicated in the Epstein Files.

But, there are repeated instances of Trump being directly named as a perpetrator—by victims and by Epstein. It’s not circumstantial, it’s direct.

It's a weird world when dutifully regurgitating a bunch of carefully curated information that the world's richest man gave you is "fearless journalism," but reporting on how the government is kidnapping innocent people and sending them overseas to be tortured is "not moving the ball forward."

“Grace periods” for late-arriving mail ballots were not controversial until very recently. (Kansas lawmakers voted *163-1* for a grace period in 2017!)

But Trump wants them banned, so red states have lately rushed to help him. Ohio just joined the list:

Ohio is the fourth GOP-run state this year to ban ballots that are postmarked by Election Day but arrive after. A Supreme Court case could force that policy nationwide next year.
