It must be fun “working” at the government, getting paid millions by taxpayers for your secure federal contracts while absolutely *gutting* the safety nets and protections in place to assure prosperity of We the People.

They aren’t just leaders lying casually via a broadcast. They have a crowd of people that participate & amplify, making their own memes, deepening the belief. Rumors as propaganda.

Any correction from outside can be dismissed bc they did the work of delegitimizing media, experts, outsiders already.
Still dizzying how "USAID spent $50 million for condoms in Gaza" -- an utter fabrication from the start -- then grew to $100 million. And then became "$100 million for condoms for Hamas."

The lesson after Springfield seems to be that when you're shown to be lying, you just exaggerate the lie.

I do occupational safety for a living. Fellow working class folks: this party (Republican) does not give a sh*t if you literally break your back for your jobs as long as they can overwork you, steal your wages, & increase their wealth gap.
BREAKING: Republican Congressman Andy Biggs has introduced a bill to abolish OSHA.

The entire text of the bill reads "The Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 is repealed. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is abolished."

The 25% tariffs on Mexico and Canada, and 10% additional tariffs President Trump ordered will hurt Ohio energy sector workers and raise costs for the average American family anywhere from $2500-$7600 annually. Make no mistake—this is entirely avoidable—and we will all pay for it.

It started with the silencing of scientific speech, when the admin blocked release of research on bird flu. But MAGA has also cracked down on other wrongthink—on race, geography (!), and of course Trump himself

They…turned off…National Institutes of Health grants? That’s nearly $50 billion of scientific research.
NIH appears to have canceled/postponed all of its study sections—the independent review panels that approve federal grants for health research.

Such grants fund the work/salaries of 300k people at more than 2,500 institutions
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.
