I want to see your genuine feelings about something, don't hide your excitement or disappointment behind screenshots of the most obnoxious bigot you could find crashing out
I don't know, man. I'm broadly out of touch with considering the "fanbase" of anything when evaluating a work anymore. I'm sure you can find a collective of fans for anything who are annoying or awful, but they're not in the room with me and I'm not going to go looking for them.

Played the Pragmata demo. Wasn't on my radar at first but I'm sold now! Very good feeling game and interesting game. Wonder how it'll stack up in the final game.

The mobile market has been cooked so hard by F2P monetization it really isn't a surprise. Apple Arcade has great releases but that has its own host of issues, too.

The more I replay Prime 4 the more it feels to me like a Wii U-era game, for better and worse. It feels like a game Retro would have immediately made after Prime 3, getting a major hardware leap from the Wii to do Sol Valley as a big open area and doubling down on Prime 3's design.

With all the hubbub about Metroid Prime 4 lately, I kinda want to draft up an essay regarding level design in Metroid games because I feel like there's a lot of mythologizing regarding Super Metroid and Metroid Prime 1 that make them an impossible thing to replicate.

Really liked it! Right now, I like it more than Prime 3, but this feels like the most uneven game in the subseries. Insane highs, but also some moments that will drag down replays later down the line.
Going to start Hard Mode very soon.

One of the producers on Guilty Gear Strive said it was basically impossible to source player feedback on balance changes online because nobody had original opinions and would just parrot what the most popular content creators said and so they had to rely on data and I think about that every day.

Part of the reason I find most discussion/the hype cycle of GTA6 uninteresting because almost none of it is about the game itself.
Its about games that have to move around it, its about how much it can get away costing, its about how it will affect the industry. Not gameplay or narrative.
